Many people start vision improvement with a burst of enthusiasm. There is hope for their eyesight problems after all, a path out of the blur! Then when they don’t see fast consistent progress, they’re tempted to give up. Maybe that clear flash was just a tease, not a true promise of their brighter future.
We can get discouraged about any self-improvement project if we don’t feel like we’re moving forward. The project could be eating in a more healthy way, or sticking to an exercise or meditation program, or returning to producing that regular artwork or music that so fed our soul when we were younger.
Or we can stop part-way with what’s best for us, thinking that’s good enough, losing 20 pounds instead of the 40 which would be so much healthier. This is a human nature issue, not a vision one. How badly do you want it? Enough to go running even if it’s raining, or only enough to do the work when it’s easy?
We can slide back into old habits if we don’t stay aware, and the problem can start to grow, those extra pounds creeping back on, to keep to my unwanted weight analogy. My energy healing teacher Deborah King often talks about “fierce intent” — no other result is possible than the one you want.
Vision improvement does not have to be a struggle. It does take attention and focus, and an awareness of how you’re using your eyes. Back when I was a math teacher, I also coached the cheerleaders. We celebrated goals reached, and encouraged persistence when the going got tough. Both of these attitudes apply to vision improvement. Go Team! You can do it!

I wore strong glasses, then contact lenses, from age 5 into my 40s. While making many mistakes, eventually l learned how to improve the way I use my eyes and to see in a more relaxed, healthy manner. It is my pleasure to coach others to do the same. Visit me at https://NancyLNeff.com.
Looking for advice.. can ones vision be improved with RP
Saw Dog, one’s vision can indeed be improved — that’s what this site, and all my writing, are about! I don’t know what RP is, but most vision improvement programs have the Bates Method at their root. Start experimenting, and see what you notice.
Using alkasab method, I am improving my eyesight.
However, I keep getting this headaches… after that.
not good.
I’m not familiar with the alkasab method, but I’m glad you are seeing results. A headache is a sign of strain, so maybe do less or do it more peacefully. Notice what you’re doing when you get a headache — maybe you’re rushing, or trying too hard. Vision improvement should not hurt! 🙂
It is a struggle. It stirs up things…It is like living in a deep illusion..and coming out of it..
The distance between reality and illusion is great.. It is coming out of matrix..
Yes, seeing more clearly is about much more than the eyechart. 🙂 Take your time — there’s no rush. And even if there are moments of discomfort, which could be thought of as growing pains, remember you’re moving forward. Just keep going. You can do this!
Well, actually, I had no idea if I could do , nevertheless… I kept going.
I was “progress” , I think
Sounds like progress to me! Even small successes should be celebrated.
Thanks.
I do get despondent. I go without glasses for long distance until I get a headache then I put my glasses back on! I also have varifocals so I need them for reading. By the way, can you also do away with glasses for reading if you persevere? I find if I go a bit boss eyed I can see clear vision with each eye individually for long distance so I know I need to change how I focus. It’s getting over that hurdle.
Margaret, yes, glasses for reading can also be reduced or eliminated if you learn how to see in a relaxed way, not grabbing at the letters, trying harder and harder to see them, just letting them come to you in an easy peaceful way. And don’t rush!
